InfinityWar's Thanos is the most iconic onscreen villain since either the Joker or Darth Vader, but I don't know a single person who left Endgame saying, "Man, 2014 Thanos was so rad!". I wouldn't say he was necessarily bad, but 2018 Thanos was allowed the chance to be so much more interesting and menacing.
InfinityWar was basically a challenge to see was the avengers ready for outside threat. Avengers Endgame was the really facing there biggest threat. Infinity War. Infinity war was better for sure. Infinity war has a more dark and suspenseful story which, at least for me, makes it better. Endgame because of Steve's fate.
